Canadian Employers Revise 2023 Salary Increase Projections

In light of the high rate of inflation, planning for appropriate salary increases in 2023 continues to be a challenge for employers.

While inflation has come down marginally, the unemployment rate is low and many employers are experiencing difficulties in attracting and/or retaining employees.

To help employers to continue to monitor this important issue, Western Compensation & Benefits Consultants (“WCBC”) surveyed 168 Canadian employers on the level of salary increases provided in 2022, along with their salary increase plans for 2023.
